An excellent game of skill, darts are very popular in the most unexpected places for games: the bar or the pub. Imagine throwing a sharp object towards a target hanging on a wall, and at the same time, still trying to remember to write the correct score on the board. That’s the fun part.
Darts is a fun game, for all the tradition that comes with it. It also is a great conversation piece with a dartboard on the wall inside a cabinet. Dartboard cabinets usually close when not in use. The cabinet doors also serve as the score board and where darts can be kept.
Dartboard cabinets are usually of simple design and the design do not give any clue as to the contents of the cabinet. It’s a simple thing which hangs on a wall. Of course, to the uninitiated, it is usually non-descript with no indication that it’s a dartboard.
This simplicity of hiding in plain sight is meant to protect the dartboard, and to keep darts playing handy. The dartboard itself could be made of fiber cord, wound rubber or heavy cork, and the keeping it in its own cabinet ensures that the board would not get warped that easily. With a dartboard cabinet, it can hang on the wall outside of the house or the garage, or the backyard, or wherever it would be convenient to play darts. A sturdy cabinet would make this sport really handy and the equipment safe from the elements.
